Unless “ALL FAGGOTS MUST DIE” was the campaign theme GOP strategists were planning for this fall, somebody in the senator’s Atlanta office is about to join the growing ranks of the unemployed.

    OMG – we need to get rid of all these people. Seriously, if you are that stupid there needs to be a rule that you can’t work for the government. I realize then many would be out of work, but this is way over the top.

    Yeah this is just an “image” problem.

    They should have learned from Christine O’Donnell’s very acceptable “Pray the gay away” compassionate christian theme.

    O’Donnell’s suggestion that gays suffer from a psychological disorder is far worse than other comments about gays that have already gotten media attention, such as her claim that the government spent too much on AIDS and her insistence that “gays get away with so much.”

    Also: Last week O’Donnell insisted that her rigid moralistic views represent long-ago youthful excesses. But as late as 2006, she was apparently still suggesting that gays are suffering from some sort of mental illness that has caused them to stray from God’s “image.”

    Indeed, this would appear to put O’Donnell squarely in the camp of those who liken homsexuality to pedophilia and bestiality.

    You know what i think? Had “ALL FAGGOTS MUST DIE” slip come from O’D’s campaign you nuts at TOM would be scurrying back to defending the candidate in the most twisted way possible (“don’t you have a sense of humor!”, “it says faggots, not homosexuals!”, “that’s what the bible says!”, “all humans will die, do homs think they are special, god-like eternal or something??!” etc) with heads deeply entrenched in your behinds.

    In all fairness, the notion that homosexuality is a “disorder” was the conventional wisdom for a long time … as a matter of fact, pretty much from the birth of psychology and psychiatry as pseudo-sciences through the late 20th century.

    Well, the link at Joe.My.God. mentions that gays are over-represented in the IT field. It is possible to spoof IP numbers . . . although if that were the case, we might expect it to trace back to someone actually running this year.

    Is it not prudent to wait until the source is identified with some greater certainty? Not for the leftists, of course – they don’t care about accuracy anyway. But give Chambliss a chance to check it out before we burn him as a witch, mmmkay?

    If there’s one politician on earth who never deserves the benefit of the doubt on anything, it’s Saxy Chambliss. It is to the GOP’s everlasting shame that they haven’t long since expelled him from their caucus and repudiated him any time he runs on their ticket. His height is the question to which the response is “I didn’t know they stacked shit that high.”

    Why do you think the GOP is run by RINOs who hate conservatives?

    Posting death threats at a blog? This is what taxpayers pay Senate staffers to do? Why was Chambliss’s staffer even reading a blog? And didn’t this staffer understand that the boss’s IP address would be searchable?

    The problem is fairly simple, T: Cronyism.

    I don’t know if you pay much attention to how the GOP establishment operates, but the emphasis on partisan loyalty sort of makes competence a secondary consideration. When you’re hiring key people on the basis of their having been president of their school’s College Republicans chapter, and then those people hire their buddies in subordinate positions, this kind of stuff happens.

    I’ll bet you dollars to donuts the person who left this “FAGGOTS MUST DIE” comment at Joe My God was some 23-year-old punk who got his job through a college friend of his.

    They’re dumbing-down the Stupid Party.

    This has been going on since the mid-70’s when I had my first exposure to the state and national GOP organizations.

    There’s not enough room to get into it here, but I think part of the problem is those members of the New Right who came into the ranks starting in the 1970’s. Unlike conservatives of yore, they were ideologues who viewed [and view] being conservative as accepting a particular set of ideas and not as a way of life [that’s why they so easily move Left as the years go on]. The true, natural conservative is pretty much a live and let live type, whereas, the ideologicial Tory is loyal only to ideas and, thus, is vulnerable to the temptations offered by other ideas. I trust people like yourself more, Stacy [who were probably always naturally conservative in temperment but ‘sinned’ for a few years flirting with the Left] than these idea fetishists.
