At The Patrick Murray Campaign Office Opener Part 3

The previous Patrick Murray speech I had the privilege of enjoying was a solid outing, and this effort is better still. It takes significant courage to run against “Gentleman” Jim Moran in the first place, and I’m happy to report that Patrick Murray is packing the gear. One looks forward to attending a debate between the two. Have you ever seen a full bird in “a mood”? To paraphrase George C. Scott in the Patton opening speech, “I actually pity this Jim Moran he’s going up against. By God, I do.”
The clips:
Patrick starts off with a bang and ends this segment addressing a very junior event attendee.
Patrick finishes introductions, references the BHO 31Aug prime time speech.
Hat tips to veterans. (Go Navy!) Next, the national debt. That debt could make the next generation the first not to exceed the predecessor.
Mention of our free-spending incumbent, “Gentleman” Jim Moran. Oh, and the “Million Dollar Mailer”
“Gentleman” Jim Moran is, like, a totally K0zm1c W1nn3r. It’s time to Retire Jim Moran.
“Gentleman” Jim Moran and his disconnection from people in VA-8. Gently rebutting the naysayers: Jim Moran is on the ballot on his own merit this November.
Conclusion: it’s about the Constitution, not about Patrick Murray. God bless the efforts of a courageous patriot.
The closing self-deprecatory remarks may sound maudlin to the jaded civilian ear, but let me underscore for the candidate: he’s as serious as lung cancer. Those who’ve served in harm’s way take the Constitution at a slightly less than religious value. Whether Jim Moran shares this depth of passion one cannot guess, but Moran’s actions imply ‘not so much’.
Other than that, supporting great candidates like Patrick Murray is what blogging is all about, and one hopes this blog effort will inspire all sorts of copycat undertakings.

Moran is a disgrace to humanity. My people in Virginia tell me Murray is the most serious challenger for that seat in memory. The district was always heavy in federal employment, but it is overwhelmingly so now, so if Moran can be beat it will indicate that even the Nomenklatura recognize something is terribly wrong.
Godspeed!

I submit that, in every district, people might consider running vicariously against the incumbents through their candidate.
That’s sort of where I am at, and among the major reasons I have for being in blogging, blowing loot on camcorders, screwing around with editing while I’m on vacation, &c.
If sufficiently infectious, this notion could help turn the country around.

I’m a former 8th district voter. I changed my registration to my college state after Murray won the primary. I’ve enjoyed seeing your coverage of the Murray campaign. I still can’t bring myself to support him. (I voted for Berry on the primary.) Although your postings have shown me a more positive side of Murray, his distaste for the value of human life is sickening. Aside from social issues though, his economics leave a lot to be desired. I’ve yet to see him articulate a single plan to actually help turn anything around. I’d encourage all 8th CD voters to write in Libertarian candidate Matt Mosley.
