Al Gore Cleared Of Portland Harassment Charges

While one has precious little respect for the gentleman, bogus accusations are unhelpful. It seems that the actual content of the Portland harassment charges clocked in somewhere between a Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for a propaganda documentary. The world is now a little less bogus. Yay.

    There is a difference between a case being dropped for lack of evidence and a suspect being exonerated.

    Indeed. I haven’t seen any particular reason to think the accusation is a lie, and some reason (like the contemporaneous account to a friend) to think it is true.

    But there’s a far distance between “might be true” and “enough evidence to prove it in court”.
