Go, Pamela Geller

May Fortune smile on this wonderful, courageous lady:

Mayor Bloomberg, this blog has no insight into who’s pulling your strings, but you need to pull your head out, mister. Hopefully New Yorkers resist this awful Cordoba Mosque, and metaphorically toss you into Hell’s Gate at the next election.

Bloomberg corrupted the NY election process by overturning term limits in the first place–he has no moral compass.

Some things just need to be said. You and Stacy say them and so does Pamela Geller. Although she is indefatigable I know she appreciates the support. As they say, win together or fall apart:

Mayor Bloomberg just believes transfats are more of a threat to New Yorkers than Muslim terrorists.

I had a momement of clarity yesterday when I agreed with David Weigel. He had the termerity to suggest to Andrew Sullivan he drop Trig Trutherism while guest hosting Sullivan’s blog.

Then my head ache returned. And my unrequitted love of Pam Geller. I hate her. I love her. It is complicated.

Anyone who would vote against Barack Obama is an idiot (I voted for McCain/Palin, but I renounced it so it does not apply to me).

I ban all who said they would choose Palin, Huckabee, Romney or Gingrich over Barack Obama from the internets and especially from LGF. You are wingnuts and not worthy of anything.

And yes kansas I am going off. Consider yourself banned. Banned, banned, banned. Banned. There are up to five banneds in banned. You got all five.

Although I admit, I do like the love my lizoids show me when I get riled and my feathers ruffled.

“Hopefully New Yorkers resist this awful Cordoba Mosque”
About a hundred ignoramus’ showed up to protest…
They comprise the tiny demographic of New Yorkers who’ve fallen for the Conservative party line about the Mosque project.Pamela Geller is also an ignoramus, and an intolerant jackass to boot.
As a New Yorker, I am proud that my city lives up to the founding principles of the Constitution.Unlike Tea Baggers who like to pretend Constitutional adherence, New Yorkers believe in a little thing called Freedom of Religion.
Ignorance and intolerance has little room in our great city. It’s what makes the rest of you fools seem so…provincial.

young4eyes–I used to work in the WTC occasionally (worked just a few blocks away) and had friends there. I have also lived and traveled extensively in Muslim lands. This is not against being anti Muslim, this is about opposing something that is truly offensive to the memory of those who fell that day. Fuck you and your sanctimonious bullshit.

I have no problem with Muslims or a mosque in the area. But the Cordoba House is about propoganda and symbolism. You are either a fool or a useful idiot not to recognize that. Actually you are both, but that sentance was rhetorical.

Now provided its promoters are not breaking any laws, I am not for legally blocking the Cordoba House. It is on private property and I respect property rights (and the first amendment unlike lefties who would love to regulate both). But I am sure as hell not going to celebrate it. And I am not going to have some jerk like you try to pretend you are morally superior. You are not.

Teabaggers? Maybe that is some cultural bonding thing your male family members and you used to share. I am not into that.

young4eye, so you are a Syrian travel guide for bored middle aged Western women? That explains a lot. You are mistaken on any connection to my family, that was some overweight Code Pink cougar you might have gotten lucky with. You can check on your underwear with her. Or maybe you lost it when you were giving a tour to some male gay travel group.

    @Y4E,
New Yorkers believe in a little thing called Freedom of Religion.

Well, that will all change when enough people occupying the physical space of New York decide to impose some other legal basis upon you.

But you’ll no doubt deny any physical evidence, such as recent developments in the UK or even Dearborn, MI which contradict your dreaming world-view.

It’s OK, though; enough conscious people will continue to support liberty. You can continue to throw shells from the peanut gallery.

“Well, that will all change when enough people occupying the physical space of New York decide to impose some other legal basis upon you.”
And yet it is people like you who seek to impose some other basis upon us. I’ve always marveled at how similar Cons are to the Taliban in their zeal against homosexuals, other religions,et. al. And in an effort to combat the phantom menaces of the world, the Conservative solution always seems to be to fight intolerance with intolerance.
Well, this kind of emotional knee-jerk reaction plays well in kindergarten. To some of us, the rule of law is just that, no matter how much we may not like it.

If your statement carried any real weight to it, something we don’t want to talk about could set about occurring.

Face the empirical facts, man: Conservatives are a relatively tolerant bunch.

It’s not a complicated matter: Who owns the property?

If Pamela Geller owns the property, then she doesn’t have to get all upset about the mosque, she can just not build it.

If Pamela Geller doesn’t own the property, then what the property owners do with the property is none of her fucking business.

The private property issue is certainly valid. My suggestion to Pamela: start a fund to buy the properties next door and open a pork processing plant on one side and a strip club on the other. Hey, its private property.
