Tea Party Victory!

Correction: Councilman, not mayor.
Stacy is headed in to DC for one of those hush-hush meetings with the big boys and girls.
While driving and listening to WFMD, he heard about the stunning victory of one Brett Bidle, a freshman at Frederick Community College, the newly elected mayor councilman of Myersville, MD.
Brett said on the radio that he had never been involved in politics except through the Tea Party movement.
Frank Rich knew where the threat was coming from, but not where the decisive blow would be struck. Every political strategist in America will be flocking to Myersville to soak up the strategic acumen displayed by this dangerous radical, who has yet to be denounced by Charles Johnson.
There is something strangely Belgian about the name Bidle. Clearly he represents the vanguard of the Flemish Menace.
“I can’t take any credit for this,” said Stacy, who lives 15 miles away from Myersville. “But if it goes bad, they’ll blame me.”
From the article:
Myersville , a town of about 1,500 residents, has 979 active voters. On Monday, 84 residents cast their votes and one absentee ballot was submitted. Political neophyte Bidle was the top vote-getter with 60. Incumbents Gary DeMoss and Mark Flynn received 55 and 54 votes, respectively, Creadick reported.
“I’m happy to see that number,” Creadick said of the turnout. “These uncontested races — the last election the turnout was in the teens.”
Stand by for at least a hard-hitting interview with Stacy McCain, Brett, if we can’t get you on InstaVision.
Brett is 18 years old.
Update: Insta-lanche!

Yeah, Myersville. Nice. Okay, it actually is, based on the fact that Maryland usually elects politicians somewhere to the left of Stalin, but come on – we are talking Middletown valley here – once the residents will come to their senses they will make sure that Brett is either crushed, bought or smeared out of office.

May his kind increase!
Of course, it’s only the beginning of his corruption that having raw power over the lives of 1,500 people brings.
